From the artist: Txaamsm traveled through the woods alone until he came to an open valley with a house in the middle. As he walked towards the house, people from inside asked him where he was going and where he had come from. When he replied that eh was out hunting, they were pleased to learn that he was a hunter, so, they invited him inside. There were lots of meats and people inside the house. They fed him roasted salmon, dried deer meat, and steamed fresh meat. Txsaamsm soon realized that this house belonged to Chief Wolf and his clan and became very nervous. Chief wolf enjoyed the Raven s company and meant to impress him with his lavish array of hunted meats. He sent wolves on a fresh hunt to further impress Txaamsm with a bountiful feast. The clever Raven knew he must leave quickly, before tempting the hospitality of Chief Wolf. He told Chief Wolf and the House of Wolves that he must check on his hunting gear but would return soon after. Chief Wolf saw Txaamsm as a friend and sent him away with smoked salmon for his journey ahead
